الاعلان:
I am reaching out from PSSAR to request student candidates from Palestine Technical College
for four funded graduate opportunities at leading Canadian institutions. We are looking for three to four high-caliber candidates
(minimum cGPA of 90%, graduated within the last 3 years)
for each opportunity.
Please see opportunities below with required eligibility criteria for candidates:
Opportunity 1 (Master’s)
This research opportunity focuses on the design and planning of sustainable supply chains, transportation optimization, and digital transformation within manufacturing and healthcare sectors. The successful candidates will work on developing advanced decision-support models to improve operational excellence and circular economy practices.
Required Background: Candidates should hold a degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or Data Sciences.
Key Skills: Proficiency in mathematical modeling, multi-criteria decision analysis, and an interest in applying Industry 4.0 technologies to real-world logistical challenges.
Opportunity 2 (PhD)
This opportunity centers on the physical and network layers of telecommunications, specifically focusing on MIMO wireless systems, Machine-to-Machine (M2M) communications, and the Internet of Things (IoT). The research involves high-level signal processing and the theoretical analysis of multiuser communication systems.
Required Background: Candidates should hold a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or Applied Mathematics. They should already possess a MASc and want to pursue a PhD in telecommunications.
Key Skills: A strong foundation in convex optimization, differential geometry, or information theory is essential for the mathematical modeling required in this laboratory.
Opportunity 3 (PhD)
This research opportunity is intended for PhD candidates working in polymer science, with a focus on the development of advanced polymer materials and composites.
Required Background: Candidates should be PhD candidates with a background in Polymer Science or a closely related field.
Research Experience: Preference will be given to candidates with research experience in the development of polymer composites or nanocomposites, through either experimental work or modeling
Opportunity 4 (Master’s)
This is a funded Master’s opportunity in Canada with a duration of 2 years. The research focuses on conservation, environmental biology, and plastic pollution, with an emphasis on identifying solutions-oriented pathways to conserve and enhance biodiversity and ecosystem services within freshwater landscapes.
Required Background: Candidates should hold a B.Sc. in Environmental Sciences, Biology, Ecology, or Natural Resource Management.
Academic Criteria: Candidates must have a cGPA above 91.7%. This is a requirement for guaranteed teaching assistant positions at the university, which are an important part of the funding package. Candidates must also have graduated from their Bachelor’s program within the last 3 years.
Research Interests: Relevant interests include conservation/environmental biology or plastic pollution/chemistry, as well as research related to the impacts of timber harvesting on water quality, evaluating ecological protection outcomes, conserving and enhancing biodiversity and ecosystem services, and engaging youth through land-based learning.
